The CTP12ELS08MAA00 like all other Kollmorgen step motors in the CT series features the company’s patent-pending cooling technology. Like other step motors within its series, it features a high voltage insulation system along with rugged bearings to ensure the highest amount of torque is reached. The bearings are built rugged to ensure reliability overtime and to produce a unit that has a long life. This step motor is quite versatile and can be used with all drives.

The CTP12ELS08MAA00 is made with Kollmorgen-developed patented technology which enhances its efficiency. This allows the motor to provide even more torque at all levels of speed. The step motor is built to perform as well as it is built to run cooler than its competitors. It provides more torque and can support larger shaft loads.

The housing of the motor is made with aluminum and so are its end caps. With this material, the motor allows for quick removal of heat so that it can always be operating at a safe temperature. With this amount of reliability, the motor can run with high torque ratings and at higher currents especially in cases where the motor is mounted. With its reduced size and the capability to last a longer lifespan, it will be a great choice for machines that require faster and higher throughput.

With a large bearing system, the CTP12ELS08MAA00 step motor can manage high side loading as well as high thrust loads. The rear bearing is O-ring mounted and this minimizes motor noise as well prevents spinout.
