Despite the extended use of servo motors in a wide range of industrial systems, the stepper motors are still maintaining their position due to their unique characteristics. For applications that don’t require position feedback, stepper motors offer excellent performance at a lower price and with simpler control schemes than servo motors. There are three general stepper motor designs: variable reluctance, permanent magnet, and hybrid.

The CTM33NLF29KAA00 is a hybrid CTM series that incorporates patented enhancing magnets in the stator to provide 25% more torque at all speeds. Because of its ability to provide an increased power output, the drive and power supply elements can be smaller, which ultimately leads to smaller and faster machines. Frame size is 34/8.5cm and length 3 stacks. The mounting mode is the NEMA, through holes. Regarding the cooling solution, aluminum shell and aluminum end-caps quickly remove heat from the motor.
