The 60WKS-M240/03-PB is an analog servo amplifier in the 60WKS series from Kollmorgen. It is designed for exclusive use with brushless synchronous servo motors in the SM series by Kollmorgen. This servo amplifier features an in-built ballast circuit with -w- characteristic to improve the overall motion of corresponding servo motors. This ballast circuit ensures efficient energy dissipation within the controller and drive system - for energy balance. Due to its compact design, the 60WKS-M240/03-PB also enhances optimal space management as it can be operated in a closed steel switchgear cabinet.

The supply voltage of the 60WKS-M240/03-PB is a three-phase supply that ranges from 60 V to 172 V at a frequency of 50 Hz to 60 Hz (+/-10%). Its minimum motor inductance is 5.0 mH, and the pulse power of its ballast circuit is 5.4 kW. This 1.4 kg servo amplifier can be cooled by natural convection, where uninterrupted airflow is admitted into the switching cabinet. In combination with this servo amplifier, rotor position sensors (RLG) and Tacho monitoring helps to maintain the precision, speed, and accuracy of the connected servo motor.

Operation of the 60WKS-M240/03-PB requires an ambient temperature range of 0 to 40^o C and a relative humidity rating of 5 % to 85 %. The installation altitude for its operation should also be kept at a maximum of 1000 m above sea level. The Ingress Protection (IP) rating of the servo amplifier is IP 00, but the power connections area offers protection against touch. Colored LEDs are also incorporated into its design to serve as indicators for fault diagnosis and operations signaling.
