Product Description:
The 131B0969 variable frequency drive is built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series and serves as a speed-control element in industrial automation. It regulates the voltage and frequency supplied to an induction motor, allowing motor speed to follow changing process demands. This control method can adjust flow in pumps, pressure in ventilation equipment, or movement rates on conveyors without relying on mechanical throttles. The drive can therefore reduce unnecessary motor operation while maintaining controlled acceleration and steady process output.
The power section accepts a supply of 380–480 VAC from a three-phase mains network and draws up to 3.88 kVA of apparent power at rated load. Its output supports a connected motor with a continuous power rating of 2.2 kW. The drive dissipates 88 W as heat inside the chassis, so the cabinet must provide sufficient ventilation around the unit. Operators can access parameters and basic diagnostic information through a graphical local control panel. The A2 frame measures 90 mm wide and 268 mm high, allowing the unit to fit into compact cabinets used for pumping, ventilation, and material-handling systems. Its internal circuit boards do not have a conformal coating, so the installation area should protect the electronics from excessive moisture and airborne contaminants. The unit does not include a brake chopper, which means regenerative deceleration requires a suitable external braking arrangement when the connected load has high inertia.
The IP20 enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal electrical parts while permitting airflow through the chassis. A built-in A1/B (C1) RFI filter limits conducted electrical noise on the incoming supply lines and supports installation in locations that require this filter class. The assembly has a gross weight of 4.91 kg and a net weight of 4.39 kg, which must be considered when selecting the cabinet backplate and mounting hardware. Its depth is limited to 205 mm, leaving clearance within standard control cabinets for wiring and door-mounted equipment. The graphical display provides local visibility of operating values, alarm messages, and adjustable parameters without requiring a separate display device.
