The VPB40.1G4A-512NN-M1C-BD-NN-FW is a control cabinet PC manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Group. When used together with a VDP 40, VDP 16, or VDP 60 display it forms a PC-based operator terminal. The operator terminal can achieve controller capabilities depending on the configuration or application. It is connected to the display interface via a connecting cable which should be at least 30m. This allows it to be installed in the display and control cabinet at the machine or its door. The VPB40.1G4A-512NN-M1C-BD-NN-FW comprises of two basic parts. The PC Box that contains the PC, the hard disk, power supply unit, and standard and special interfaces.

The other part is the display interface and the RS422 interface. It contains five status LEDs and an optional DVD ROM drive or CD RW recorder system. The VPB40.1G4A-512NN-M1C-BD-NN-FW comes in two types, type A has 3 slots and type C has 4 free slots. Both have AC 85V to AC 264V voltage supply. They have integrated battery packs, UPS, and optional drives. The control cabinet is intended for use in industrial applications only.
