Product Description
The RD 500 drive system is an inventive three-phase system designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for synchronous and induction motors. It displays high flexibility and adaptability to different drive applications due to the modular configuration of its hardware and software. The system also incorporates AC drive converters, DC supply inverters, rectifiers, and supply modules for regenerative feedback in the mains supply.
The RD52.2-5B-018-L-A2-FW is an AC converter unit type in this series with a nominal AC connecting voltage of 3 x AC 500 V (±
10 %). Its pulse frequency during operation can be adjusted between 4 Hz, 8 Hz, and 12 Hz to obtain power output and current ratings. The RD52.2-5B-018-L-A2-FW is idling-proof and resistant to earth faults. It features a type 2 design and has a built-in brake chopper. The brake chopper has a continuous power output of 9 kW, a peak power of 37 kW, and a maximum resistance value of 17.5 Ohms.
