The RD52.1-4N-005-L-V1-FW is a three-phase drive. It belongs to the RD52 product line from Bosch Rexroth. The drive system is compatible with a wide range of induction and synchronous motors. The drive features modular hardware and software that allows a great deal of flexibility in adapting the drive to numerous applications. The drive modules can be purchased individually or as a completely wired system. The technical characteristics of RD52 drives includes AC or DC supply, multiple cooling methods, 4-line graphical display, removable user panel with parameter copy function and support for multiple communication interfaces. The power sections on the RD52.1-4N-005-L-V1-FW are cooled at the rear. This allows for forced air cooling with the heat sink outside the drive enclosure or using a conductive plate. The RD52.1-4N-005-L-V1-FW is designed for forced air cooling. The RD52 drives can be commissioned through PC-based software or through an operator panel.

The RD52.1-4N-005-L-V1-FW is based on an AC converter. The input voltage range for the drive converter is three-phase 380 to 480 Volts AC. The converter does not include an integrated brake chopper. Nominal output rating of the RD52.1-4N-005-L-V1-FW is 5 kilowatts. RD52 drives can be ordered with a wide range of optional / additional functions. The RD52.1-4N-005-L-V1-FW supports 24 Volt standby power. This features requires an external 24 Volt power supply and allows drive parameterization in the absence of the AC input. The standby power feature is also useful as it allows the control electronics on the RD52.1-4N-005-L-V1-FW to function in the absence of AC input. To ensure that the ordered firmware supports the required feature set, the drive system firmware has to be ordered separately from the hardware.
