The RD52.1-4N-001-L-NN-P1-NN-FW model is designed and developed by Rexroth Indramat and it is used to drive various synchronous and induction motors. The RD52.1 drive converter is designed to operate at the nominal voltage of 3 × AC 380 – 480 V power source with ±10% tolerance. The frequency of the input voltage is 50/60 Hz. The module comes without any integrated braking chopper. The RD52.1 drive converter delivers 1.5 kW of power while operating at the continuous current of 4 A, and the internal temperature of the device is maintained with the help of the forced air cooling method. The model is equipped with a blower unit that uses external air for dissipating the heat generated during continuous operation. The converter is equipped with a PROFIBUS-DP interface for developing communication between the converter and the electrical motors. The converter belongs to the RD 500 series and it should only be used according to the conditions prescribed by the supplier. For high operational reliability, the model should be operated in conjunction with the parts and modules specified by the supplier. An additional 32-bit signal processor is placed in this unit for high dynamic servo applications.

The model RD52.1-4N-001-L-NN-P1-NN-FW comes with radio interference suspension filters and line reactors to minimize the harmonic fed back into the line supply. The drive converter is protected under the IP20 protection category. The maximum allowable temperature range for RD52.1 is 0 to +40 degree Celsius, without derating. It can operate ideally under the permissible humidity range of 85% (without condensation). The overall weight of the unit is approximately 15 kg and the minimum clearance of 100 mm should be maintained at the top and bottom of the drive converter.
