The Bosch Rexroth RD 500 RD52.1-4B-055-D-V1-FW is a universal three-phase drive system. It has been developed for the control of synchronous and induction motors from Rexroth. The RD 500 product line supports both AC and DC supplies, multiple cooling methods including forced air cooling and liquid cooling, removable user panel, graphical display, short-circuit protection and peer-to-peer coupling or Synchrolink for fast communication between drives. The RD 500 series supports torque rise times of 0.3 milliseconds and current cycle times of 0.1 milliseconds. A radio interference suppression filter and line reactor are integrated into the RD52.1-4B-055-D-V1-FW to reduce the harmonics that are fed back to the line supply. The drive is immune to noise as per EN 50082-2. Output rating of the drive is 55 kilowatts. The drive unit can operate with 200% overload for 0.5 seconds and 170% overload for 1 second.

Support for external 24 Volt stand-by power is available on the RD52.1-4B-055-D-V1-FW drive. The control circuits on the drive can operate, and data sets can be parameterized, by using the stand-by power even when the AC mains power is disconnected. The drive field buses can also use the stand-by power for operation. To prevent damage to X83 due to reverse polarity, Bosch recommends connection of the stand-by power to X83 in a floating manner. The converter on the RD52.1-4B-055-D-V1-FW is rated for 380 to 480 Volts AC three-phase input. The drive converter features an integrated brake chopper. A plug through cooler on the drive helps to maintain temperature between the manufacturer recommended limits of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The RD52.1-4B-055-D-V1-FW drive can get damaged if the ambient temperature rises above 50 degrees Celsius. This product can be shipped globally with a one year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
