The RD52.1-4B-011-L-NN-G3-T1-FW is an 11 kilowatts rated drive system. It is designed and manufactured by Bosch for control of synchronous and induction motors. The input side of the drive system is rated for three-phase 380 to 480 Volts AC. A converter on the drive system features an integrated brake chopper. The converter also includes a mains filter for filtering anomalies in the AC mains supply. The RD52.1-4B-011-L-NN-G3-T1-FW is commissioned with prompts on the operator panel which has a graphical display. The drive system can also be commissioned from a PC running the RDwin software applications. Radio interference suppression filters and a line reactor are integrated into the AC drive converter to minimize the harmonics that are fed back into the line supply. The drive is cooled via forced air cooling.

Optimal temperature range for drive operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Bosch permits drive operation at up to 50 degrees Celsius but with output derating. Features of the RD series drives include removable user panel with parameter copy function, 4-line graphical display, optional interfaces including SERCOS and Profibus DP, short circuit protection and peer to peer coupling or Synchrolink for drive to drive communication.
