The RD52.1-4B-007-L-NN-FW is a universal drive controller from Bosch Rexroth. It is designed for motor control in applications such as hoist and conveyor technology, handling systems and packing machines. The drive has to be programmed before commissioning so that that the motor is controlled corresponding to the desired functions for the application. The RD52.1-4B-007-L-NN-FW includes radio interference suppression filters to reduce the harmonics that are fed back into the AC supply. The drive is immune to noise in conformance with EN 50082-2. Technical characteristics of RD52 drives include AC or DC supply, removable user panel with parameter copy function, 4-line graphical display and peer-to-peer coupling for fast communication between drives. The overload capability of the RD52.1-4B-007-L-NN-FW is 200% for 0.5 seconds an 170% for 1 second. The RD52.1-4B-007-L-NN-FW cools via forced air cooling.

The RD52.1-4B-007-L-NN-FW is not equipped with additional functions. However several addition functions can be ordered for RD52 drives including stand by power, starting lockout and filter current feedback. The converter on the RD52.1-4B-007-L-NN-FW includes a brake chopper. The input of the drive converter is rated for 380 to 480 Volts AC. The rated motor output of the drive is 7.5 kilowatts at 380 to 480 Volts AC input and 4 kilohertz pulse frequency. The motor output of the drive is 3.8 kilowatts at 200 to 230 Volts AC input and 4 kilohertz pulse frequency. Firmware for the drive has to be ordered separately from the hardware. Drive commissioning can be performed from an optional user panel or a PC based RDWin software application. Additionally the RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces that are available on the logic and control board can also be used for drive commissioning.
