The RD51.2-5B-018-L-A2-FW drive control incorporates U/f curve characteristics. This Bosch Rexroth product may pose danger to life or get damaged due to unplanned motor movements. This device is not to be used in cranes, elevators or refinery plants. The associated motor should be permanently grounded as per the connection diagram before powering up the unit. The control has to be connected with only safely isolated electrical circuits and voltages. The power connection to the control must be isolated using a start-inhibit system or an emergency stop circuit. The product is supposed to be in standstill mode before entering the danger zone.

The product operation must not happen near a radio, remote control and high-frequency equipment. The heatsink, resistors and housing of the device are very hot when it is in use. This unit should neither be crushed nor pinched during handling as well as installation. Its electronic boards and modules must never come in contact with any highly insulating material. They should always be kept only on conductive surfaces. The control operates like a converter with 3 x 500VAC connecting voltage and +/-15% tolerance. The product has an integrated chopper.
