The Bosch Rexroth RD51.1-5N-132-F-NN-FW is a RD51 series universal drive system. It is based on a converter. The converter does not include a brake chopper. The drive input rating is three-phase 500 Volts AC. Additional functions are not supported by the drive. However a wide range for additional functions are available for RD51 drives and can be specified at the time of ordering. The RD51.1-5N-132-F-NN-FW supports forced air cooling with integrated liquid circulation. The drive firmware has to be ordered separately. The RD51.1-5N-132-F-NN-FW can be operated at both 4 kilohertz and 8 kilohertz pulse frequencies. Performance specifications for 4 kilohertz frequency include 132 kilowatts rated motor output, 0 to 250 Hertz output frequency range, 190 Amps rated current, 247 Amps peak current for 1 minute, 156 kVA rated output and 203 kVA peak output for 1 minute.

Performance specifications for 8 kilohertz frequency include 110 kilowatts rated motor output, 0 to 500 Hertz output frequency range, 160 Amps rated current, 208 Amps peak current for 1 minute, 132 kVA rated output and 171 kVA peak output for 1 minute. The cooling air requirement is 0.4 cubic meters per second. If this requirement is not fulfilled then the temperature of air that surrounds the drive will exceed specified limits and could lead to drive malfunction or failure. The recommended temperature range for drive operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Size class of the RD51.1-5N-132-F-NN-FW is G and its approximate weight is 180 kilograms. Bosch has provided integrated radio interference suppression capability for reducing the harmonics fed back into the main supply.
