The Bosch RD51.1-4N-018-D-NN-FW is a converter-based universal drive controller. The drive can be connected to three-phase AC systems that operate at 380 to 480 Volts AC. A brake chopper is not included with the drive converter. The rated motor output of the drive is 18.5 kilowatts. The RD51.1-4N-018-D-NN-FW does not support any additional functions. However, a wide range of optional additional functions are available and can be ordered if required. These optional functions include feedback of current filter, feedback of cable damping, frequency converter and stand-by power. The firmware for the RD51.1-4N-018-D-NN-FW has to be ordered separately. The RD51.1-4N-018-D-NN-FW includes a plug-through cooler. Performance specifications for the RD51.1-4N-018-D-NN-FW at 4 kilohertz pulse include 23 kVA rated output, 35 Amps current output and 18.5 kilowatts motor output. The size class of the RD51.1-4N-018-D-NN-FW is B. A radio interference suppression filter is incorporated on the drive. This filter reduces the harmonics in the power that is fed back into the line supply. The protection category of the drive housing is IP20. This indicates that the housing provides limited solid protection but does not provide any liquid protection. Therefore the drive should not be used outdoors. Even when installed indoors, the drive should be mounted inside a control cabinet that can provide the desired level of environmental protection. Configuration and programing of the RD51.1-4N-018-D-NN-FW can be done through an optional control panel or a PC-based software. Reliable drive operation is dependent upon proper installation.
