The RD51.1-4N-011-L-V1-FW is an industrial controller manufactured by highly trained engineers of Rexroth Indramat to accurately control the operation of electrical motors used in the industrial servo system. This drive controller is manufactured according to the IP20 protection class; its unique housing unit offers it complete protection from large solid materials; however, for protection against liquid foreign substances and small solid materials, the controller should be installed in an additional control cabinet that offers it minimum protection that meets the IP54 protection class. The configuration, installation and general operation of this industrial controller should be carried out by well trained industrial engineers who are familiar with Rexroth Indramat products and have gone through the documentation of the controller in real-time. This controller also features a modular design that makes it possible for an industrial operator to easily replace any part of the controller without the need for the total reconfiguration of the servo system.

The RD51.1-4N-011-L-V1-FW industrial control device features an internal air blower and heatsink, which work together to keep the heat generated in the controller within a permissible range via forced ventilation. To support this temperature regulation process, the controller should be installed with a minimum clearance of about 120 millimetres. The housing of the RD51.1-4N-011-L-V1-FW industrial controller features a standard control panel which is made up of a four-line display unit and a special keypad through which the controller can send command instructions into the controller in real-time.

The RD51.1-4N-011-L-V1-FW controller is sensitive to liquid substances; it should not be operated in an environment with relative humidity higher than 95 per cent as this can cause the condensation of water inside the housing of the controller.
