The Rexroth RD51.1-4N-004-L-NN-FW is a drive control device. A basic servo system is comprised of the servo motor, the controller, drive, and a feedback device. While the drive controller is responsible for moving the motor in precise directions, angles and at specific angles, the drive which is controlled by the drive control device is responsible for releasing the required amount of voltage or current to enable the motor achieve the movement prescribed by the drive controller. Some applications of the drive control device include chemical and process technology, conveyor belt systems, and handling and packaging machines. The operation of drive control devices and all associated components must be carried out by only trained personnel and in accordance with the manufacturer’s regulations. This is due to the risks inherent in the assembly, operation and maintenance of these devices. During operation, permanently programmed limit values whose parameters can be assigned should be constantly monitored. To protect the power section from damage, a shutdown always occurs when a limit value is exceeded; the corresponding fault message is then shown in the display.

The RD51.1-4N-004-L-NN-FW has a design type of 1 and a Converter which supports 3-phase 380 to 480 volts +/- 10% AC nominal connecting voltage. It has a 4 kilowatts power rating and does not feature a built-in brake chopper. The cooling mode is forced air colling with power rating not greater than 110 kilowatts. Firmware is not supplied with the drive control device and needs to be ordered as a separate stand-alone unit. It supports frequencies between 0 and 250 hertz. The maximum ambient temperature is 40 degrees Celsius and the device is housed in an IP20 protected housing. This product can be shipped globally with a one year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
