The RD51.1-4N-003-L-D1-FW is a 3 kilowatts rated drive. It is part of the RD51 product line from Bosch Rexroth. Power sections on RD51 drives are designed for cooling at the rear. This mean that forced air cooling can be implemented.  RD51 drives with liquid cooling are also available. The RD51.1-4N-003-L-D1-FW includes a plug-through cooler. The recommended ambient air temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. If unused, the controller needs to be stored in an environment with -25 to 70 degrees Celsius temperature. Furthermore temperature variations of more than 20 K per hour are not allowed during storage. The RD51.1-4N-003-L-D1-FW and its supply modules contain electrolytic capacitors that are used as DC link capacitors. Therefore they cannot be stored for more than two years. The operating environment must be dust-free.

If the air is dust-laden, then air filters must be used. The reason for this is that the protection category to which the RD51.1-4N-003-L-D1-FW belongs is IP20 and the housing of the drive is only safe from solid objects with 12 millimeter dimensions. The relatiye humidity in the operating environment should be less than 90%. Furthermore the air should be clear of aggressive or corrosive gases or vapors. The RD51.1-4N-003-L-D1-FW should be appropriately separated from other heat generating devices. The converter on the RD51.1-4N-003-L-D1-FW is rated for 380 to 480 Volts AC and can also be operated at 200 to 230 Volts AC. The converter does not include a brake chopper. The rated output of the drive is 3 kilowatts. Additional functions supported by the RD51.1-4N-003-L-D1-FW include connection for RZC01.1-XT with NAMUR terminal strip and 24 V standby power. The drive firmware has to be ordered separately. This product can be shipped globally with a one year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
