Product Description

RAC 3.5-100-460-L00-W1-220 is a main drive controller that is mostly used for Indramat 2AD motors with a motor output of 10 kW to 30 kW at the shaft. Drives that uses this product is characterized to have high stiffness and continues power that is present on CNC machines and tools.

The product has a current type of 100 A and powered by a 3 x AC 380 – 460 volts three-phased system with an integrated emergency stop and main contactors. It features a C-Axis operation with the main spindle drive controlling the servo axis or C-axis with utmost efficiency in the position control loop. The product can also recognize rotor positions at a peak resolution of 1/4 000 000^th of a revolution that is helpful when working with low-speeds.

The main spindle drive controller features a SERCOS interface for continuous communication with the numerical controls of speed, torque set-points, and parameter handling for confirmed values. It does not come with additional encoders, synchronous inputs, and optional interface.  The product’s control panel is used during the commissioning period to encode specific parameters needed during the installation and application of the product. The RAC 3.5-100-460-L00-W1-220 is not water resistant but has an IP 10 rating for protection against outside objects that are 50 mm or larger in diameter and compliant with DIN VDE 0470 industry standards. During delivery, the unit is equipped with a built-in fan. In cases were outside air or hose cooling is needed, the chassis of the RAC 3.5-100-460-L00-W1-220 should be physically altered to mount additional cooling devices. Finally, the programming module and its parameter list is separately packed on a plastic bag with protection again static current.
