The Bosch RAC 2.3-250-380-A0I-Z1 is an Indramat RAC 2 series of spindle drive controllers. It comes with a series 2 design, 250 amps of type current, 3x 400 Volts AC of rated voltage at 50-60 hertz, analog speed interface, incremental encoder output, and an additional bleeder. It is compatible to use with 2AD main spindle motors. It provides facilities to digitally control the motor. The internal position control loop of the RAC 2.3-250-380-A0I-Z1 drive controller ensures accurate spindle positioning even at the lowest speed. It allows direct connection to the three-phase power supply. It is integrated with an emergency stop switch for providing required safety. It provides direct current braking to stop the spindle when power is interrupted. It is equipped with the newest technology for advanced position controlling.       

The RAC 2.3-250-380-A0I-Z1 main spindle controller utilizes a microprocessor-based architecture with integrated communication capabilities. It ensures dynamic responses and smooth operation. This controller can be operated via the control panel which consists of indicator LEDs, an operating mode switch, a display unit, and a keypad with arrow keys. The operating mode switch of the RAC 2.3-250-380-A0I-Z1 selects either the operating mode or parameter mode of the main spindle drive. The main parameters of the drive controller are stored in an EEPROM on the AS programming module. A compatible AS programming module can be found by considering the type code. The RAC 2.3-250-380-A0I-Z1 main spindle controller features a variety of functions such as drive ready state, speed command value, main spindle speed signals, speed command value ramps, command value smoothing, spindle positioning, and speed controller functions.
