The RAC 2.3-200-460-AP0-W1 Bosch Rexroth main spindle drive controller has a modular structure. This drive controller can accurately control motors with the lowest speeds. The product supports direct connection to three-phase supply networks. It can stop the main spindle drive through a direct current braking action when there is a power failure. The unit features an additional encoder input for the second motor feedback or spindle feedback. The rated data gets reduced to 80% when the controller operates at a maximum allowed 55°C ambient operating temperature. The product comes with a warranty tag for one year.

The drive controller has an inbuilt fan for cooling during operation. The product features an analog speed set-point interface with a +/-10V rating to connect to standard CNC controls. This interface is connected to the X4 connector of the device. The unit has a bus for the controller voltage as well as a control panel. It must be installed within a maximum altitude of 1,000m over sea level. There should be no condensation of water on the product during operation.

The programming module is fitted at the bottom. The device has an IP 10 degree of protection as per EN 60 529/DIN VDE 0470 specifications. It is protected against water. The device features a typical current rating of 300A and it does not support the use of an additional interface or bleeder. The unit encompasses a control panel that helps to input the parameters at the time of commissioning. The X3 connector of the controller is used to connect the motor feedback.
