The Indramat RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1/S002 is an intelligent digital spindle drive controller designed for control of spindle motors which belong to Indramat 2AD product line. An AS programming module which connects to the drive controller adapts the controller to the 2AD spindle motor and implements the operating characteristics. The programing module must not be removed or plugged in when the controller power is on. This AS programmer is part of the spindle drive package delivered by Indramat. As the AS programmer contains both the parameters and software, in the event of a unit replacement the controller does not require any adjustments. The software contains drive-related parameters which affect the operating characteristics of the drive and also those parameters which are related to the particular application. The RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1/S002 lacks additional interface, additional encoder input and additional bleeder. A built-in cooling fan is however available on the drive controller.

The RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1/S002 is designed to operate with three-phase input at 400 Volts AC (50/60 Hertz). The controller can be used with grounded and ungrounded three-phase networks. The current rating of the controller is 200 Amps. Electrical accessories shipped with the controller are packed in plastic bags. Mechanical accessories shipped with the controller are screwed on the back wall of the controller. During storage and transport, the RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1/S002 should be protected against dust and moisture and should be kept impact free. Temperature range for storage is -22 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1/S002 comes with a SERCOS interface for speed set point. Indramat recommends that for reliable operation the installation, commissioning and maintenance of the RAC 2.3-200-380-L00-W1/S002 spindle controller should be carried out by technicians who possess the necessary training and experience.
