The RAC 2.3-200-380-AY0-W1 is a main spindle drive controller for controlling Rexroth Indramat AC spindle motors. These motors find wide use in CNC machines. This product has both- a wide speed range and a high resolution of 1/4,000,000 revolutions. This allows it to control the motor at even very slow speeds. The drive controller comes fitted with an internal position control loop which allows it to position the spindle of the AC motor very accurately.

The drive controller offers a protection of class F against humidity according to DIN 40 040 standards. This means that it can tolerate being installed in workshops and rooms where there is humidity lower than 70%. Please use a control cabinet to maintain the humidity up to the safe standards. This unit can be operated in ideal nominal data range up to 45 degree C. The control cabinet can be fitted with a cooling unit to keep the drive controller within this temperature range. Avoid condensation water from condensing on the unit or inside the unit. As the unit is not waterproof and this can lead to a fire hazard and electrical short circuit.

This controller has the design code of 03 among the RAC 2 series of Bosch Rexroth main spindle drive controllers. The peak current rating for this product is 300A. It runs on a 3-phase supply voltage of 400V at 50-60 Hz. It comes with additional encoder and synchronous input and an analog speed set point.
