The RAC 2.2-250-460-L00-Z1 is a Bosch Rexroth main spindle drive controller. It comes with a loop for internal position control. This loop allows the drive controller to independently position the spindle. The drive controller has an integrated heatsink in the housing for removing excess heat from the unit. The device can run on 50 Hz at 3 X 400VAC or 60 Hz at 3 X 460 Hz. The RAC 2.2-250-460-L00-Z1 comes with a control panel for configuring the drive controller. There is a link circuit connection on the upper right-hand side of the unit. Along with the control circuit voltage bus, using the link circuit connection an additional controller can be supplied. Motor parameter values can be optimized using special standalone programming modules which can be plugged in.

This RAC drive controller has the designated design code of 2. This RAC 2 drive controller should be operated from 5 degree C to 45 degree C. Failure to do so can lead to nominal data getting derated. The unit can be safely operated up to 1000 meters above sea level. The drive controller can be installed in workshops and rooms where there is humidity. However, the unit cannot tolerate buildup of water inside the unit and is not waterproof. This product can safely withstand penetration from objects of a diameter more than 50mm. It is not protected against deliberate penetration by hand. Electrical connections for mains and motor power are supplied at the bottom part of the drive controller.

The drive controller gives off heat during its operation. This heat is absorbed by an integrated heatsink. Make sure that there is a clearance of at least 80 mm in the control cabinet from the bottom surface of the cabinet.
