The RAC 2.2-250-460-A0I-Z1 spindle servo drive belongs to the Rexroth RAC 2 series of drive controllers manufactured by Bosch. It uses internal feedback position control loops to control the spindle motors effectively. It can control the spindle as a c-axis. The rated voltages at 50 and 60 hertz are 3x400 Volts AC and 3x460 Volts AC respectively. This drive can be directly connected to a three-phase power supply for providing a wide power range. It has a current rating of 400 Amps. The direct current braking facility is integrated into RAC 2.2-250-460-A0I-Z1 drive to stop the spindle when the power is interrupted. It offers standardized, ready-made cables for feedback and power connections. All the power supplies share identical terminal assignments for easy and time-saving wiring.  

The RAC 2.2-250-460-A0I-Z1 drive controller consists of an additional bleeder. It must be operated within the temperature range of 5 to 45 degrees Celsius. A built-in fan unit is located inside the controller cabinet to emit the heat via air slits. The amount of heat dissipation depends on the workload of the drive and the motor. The drive configuration can be done by using an AS programming module.

This RAC 2.2-250-460-A0I-Z1 drive doesn't provide protection against water. It provides facilities to configure the drive parameters on-site through the programming module. The front of the controller cabinet has a user control terminal to display the error messages on a screen and a keypad for mode selection.
