Product Description

The RAC 2.2-250-380-API-W1 is a main spindle drive controller developed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth who specializes in industrial control systems. This main controller is used for main spindle drive and frameless spindle drive motors that have an output of 30 to 52 kw. It has a current rating of 400A and can be powered by three-phase supply network that has an output of 3 x 400V 50/60 Hz. The main spindle drive controller’s internal position control loop is shutoff by motor feedback or an optional spindle feedback. The controller is cooled by air being drawn from either inside or outside the control cabinet it is being mounted.

An optional modular main spindle drive controller can be supplied by the product using its dedicated control voltage bus and link circuit connection. Independent parameters required for installation and implementation are set on site during the commissioning stage using the dedicated control panel. The main spindle drive controller is equipped with a +/- 10V analogue speed set-point that can be used with standard CNC controls. Ideal ambient temperature for the product is between +5 to +45 degrees Celsius. Temperatures exceeding +55 degrees would force the main spindle drive controller to decrease its performance. Maximum installation elevation for the device is 1000 meters above sea level, anything beyond that would give you lower power and torque outputs.

The RAC 2.2-250-380-API-W1 is designed to work on humidity-risk workshops with dry or warm and moderate cold climates. Relative humidity must be monitored and not exceed 70%.  The product also has an IP 10 protection in compliance to EN60529 or DIN VDE 0470 standards.  Electrical accessories included with the product are packed on a separate bag. The programing module is placed on an anti-static bag together with the parameter list. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
