The RAC 2.2-200-460-D00-W1 model comes with the interface option of a 16-bit parallel digital speed set-point for connection to PLC controllers and it is preferably used with long circuits and low-set points. The drive controller delivers the continuous power of 55 kW at 300 A of continuous current. Its high stiffness and broad speed range with continuous power generation makes it suitable for use as the main spindle drive in CNC machine tools. The drive controller is developed in such a way that it can take power directly from the 3 phase power supply with either 3 × 400 volts, 50 Hz, +/- 15%, or 3 × 460 volts, 60 Hz, +/- 10% voltage connection. RAC 2’s come with a direct current braking system which makes it capable of stopping the main spindle in case of a power failure.

The model RAC 2.2-200-460-D00-W1 can be cooled with either control cabinet inside or outside air but it generally comes with a control cabinet outside the air cooling system so that the controller can easily operate at an ambient temperature of +45 ͦC with the reduction in drive data. The controller comes in a standard size having a total weight of approximately 125 kg including mounting frame and accessories. The controller comes with the protection category of IP 10.
