Product Description

The RAC 2.2-200-460-A00-Z1 is a spindle drive control system used to control spindle motors with a continuous power output of 30-52 Kilowatts. Examples motors that this controller can work with include Indramat 2AD asynchronous main spindle motors and 1MB frameless spindle motors. Spindle motors controlled by the RAC 2.2-200-460-A00-Z1 are characterized by high stiffness and a broad speed range, making the motors efficient for numerically controlled machines.

The RAC 2.2-200-460-A00-Z1 controller can be directly connected to a rated three-phase voltage supply network of 3 x AC 400V/50Hz, 3 x AC 460V/60Hz. During operation and even in the case of an emergency stop, the energy regenerated by the controller is fed back into the supply network. During a sudden interruption of power supply, the controller can stop the main spindle via direct current braking. The controller uses analog interphase for its speed setpoint, using a 10Volts connection to the conventional CNC control. The controller does not require an additional encoder input or additional encoder interphase; it, however, contains an additional bleeder, which it uses for voltage regulation.

The heatsink and air blower installed into the controller’s housing allows it to regulate its temperature and prevent overheating. The cooling airflow is guided through the controller housing using an air shaft. This cooling air can be either outside or inside the control cabinet. When cooling with air inside the control cabinet, the cooling air is drawn from the control cabinet and then blown out, but in the use of air outside the control cabinet, the cooling air is drawn in and blown out control cabinet through cut-outs in the control cabinet back wall. The heat from energy loss is then fed into the control cabinet outside air. The controller’s production class is IP 10, according to the EN 60 529 (DIN VDE 0470). The controller works optimally at a height not more than 1000 meters above sea level. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
