The RAC 2.2-150-380-A00-Z1 drive controller is one of the many main spindle drive controllers offered by Bosch Rexroth. The controller features an internal position control loop. This product helps in the independent positioning of the spindle in order to respond to a signal. Its housing is integrated with the heatsink used for cooling purposes. The device has a connections voltage rating of 3 x 400VAC and operates at a frequency of 50/60Hz. The unit is equipped with a control panel.  It also features a link circuit connection at the top. The plugged-in programming module stores the motor optimizing parameter values along with the parameters required for installation and application.

The main spindle drive controller has a design code of 2. The device is intended for operation between an ideal temperature range of 5°C and 45°C without any data deration. This unit must be installed at a maximum altitude of 1,000m over sea level. The product can be operated in places at risk of humidity. It is designed as per DIN VDE 0160 specifications for mounting inside a sealed housing. The controller is protected against the penetration of objects that have a diameter of more than 50mm. The mains connection and the motor power connection are located at the bottom of the unit.

The drive controller encounters the emission of heat during its functioning. This heat gets discharged through the inbuilt heatsink and above the air slits present in the cover. There must be a minimum clearance of 80mm between the control cabinet and the bottom of the controller. The product is equipped with an additional bleeder and an inbuilt fan for cooling purposes.
