The PST6250.201-W is a thyristor power unit with integrated control function, manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The thyristor power unit can only be used to connect welding transformers and no other application. It is ideal to operate in industrial environments. All thyristor power units in the PST 6250 series, including the PST6250.201-W, can be used to weld transformers up to a maximum value of 250kVA. It also features a continuous thermal rated current at 200 A, and rated voltage between 400 and 600 volt. As for the cooling method, it features air cooling with a maximum of 45 degrees Celsius.

This Bosch thyristor power unit has an approximate weight of 12.5kg, and must be mounted in a vertical position or with the back on the mounting plate. The PST6250.201-W power unit’s load capability is dependent on the kind of designation that indicates a particular maximum welding transformer rating. In case of overloading, the PST6250.201-W can be damaged, so it’s important to compute the actual load using the load diagram. The thyristor power unit features an in-built weld timer and control function for better application. It also features in-built temperature monitoring which works with the air cooling to prevent overheating that can damage the power unit.
