The PST625-EL by Bosch Rexroth is an AC welding controller. The PST 625 series has an integrated control function and features an air-cooling mechanism. The PST625-EL finds application with stationary welding equipment and other industrial use cases up to 141 kVA. Generally, the rated voltage range of the PST 625 welding controller series is 400 – 600 V (-20 % to 10 %) and an operating clock frequency of 50 – 60 Hz. This series comes with an optional I/O interface for Fieldbus, serial or parallel connections. With a fan hood, its output current has a maximum value of 365 Amperes at 30 % duty cycle.

When mounted in a modular enclosure, its protection class is IP 20, but in switchgear cabinets, its protection class is IP 54. The maximum permissible ambient temperature of the PST625-EL is 55 degrees Celsius. Also, its maximum cooling air temperature is 45 degrees Celsius. At 20 degrees Celsius, the relative humidity of this equipment is 90 %, and at 50 degrees Celsius, its relative humidity is 50 %. During operation, storage and transportation, moisture condensation must be completely avoided.

The air pressure rating of the PST625-EL is acceptable for any value within 0 – 2000 meters above sea level. The nominal voltage supply of this equipment is DC 24 Volts. For corrosion protection, them ambient air or cooling air of the PST625-EL must be free of salts, caustic soda, acids, corrosive agents and metal vapours of varying concentrations.
