The Bosch Rexroth Indramat MSS182A-0250-FA-N0CN-NNNN is a liquid-cooled frameless stator supplied within the MSS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. It forms the stationary part of a permanent-magnet synchronous motor and produces the rotating field needed to drive the mated rotor in industrial automation systems. When built into gear-free direct-drive assemblies, the stator enables precise torque generation and high dynamic response on conveyors, machining spindles, or positioning tables. Because the stator has no rotating mechanical output of its own, final torque and speed depend on the paired rotor, encoder system, and drive controller used in the machine.
During operation, the magnetic circuit exerts an axial attractive force of 360 N and a radial component of 214 N, values that must be considered when sizing the mechanical bearings and housing. Thermal energy is removed by a coolant flow of 3.0 l/min through internal ducts; both the inlet and outlet use a G 1/8 thread, allowing direct connection to standard fittings. At the rated flow, the pressure drop across the stator is only 0.2 bar, so the cooling loop can use compact pumps without excessive head loss. Six stator fixing holes are provided, each drilled for an M6 thread with a depth of 12 mm, and a single ground point uses the same tapping to simplify bonding to the machine frame.
The hydraulic circuit may be pressurized up to 6 bar, offering margin above the nominal pressure drop while maintaining leak integrity. Electrical safety follows protection class IP00, meaning the assembly must be mounted inside a closed enclosure before power is applied. Acoustic emission stays below <75 dB(A), supporting installation near operators. The stator operates in ambient temperatures from 0 °C to 40 °C and at installation altitudes up to 1000 m without derating. Because protection class IP00 leaves live parts unshielded, the surrounding machine structure must provide guarding against accidental contact and contamination. It includes one dedicated ground connection, and a second identical M6 thread with a depth of 12 mm is provided for structural fastening.
