The MKE118D-012-DG0-KE4 industrial servo motor is a highly precise rotary device designed by the Rexroth Indramat. This servo motor is intended for use in explosive regions or areas according to the European standard EN. It has its electrical connection box at the top, through which the electrical cable enters its housing unit. Also, the electrical shaft of this motor is designed for the smooth transmission of kinetic energy into the industrial motor. Its rotor winding has a very low resistance of about 0.210 ohms. It conducts a maximum current of 134.3 Ampere with high efficiency and generates a maximum non-stop torque of  187 Newton-per-meter. The MKE118D-012-DG0-KE4 also produces highly controllable rotary movements of a wide velocity range for its application on different industrial machines and mechanical devices with requirements for continuous precise movement.

The MKE118D-012-DG0-KE4 servo motor features a Multiturn absolute encoder that permits the absolute, indirect position recording within 4,096 mechanical rotations. The encoders replace a separate absolute value encoder on the motor, interpreting the current position of the shaft and, in a feedback mechanism, corrects it to the desired position. With this encoder version, the absolute position of the axis is preserved even after a switch-off. The maximum housing temperature is 115 degrees Celsius on the motor housing at an ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. The ignition temperature of materials that come into contact with the motors must not exceed 135 degrees Celsius.

The MKE118D-012-DG0-KE4 servo motor is a long-lasting synchronous motor, with its resilience attributing partly to its temperature control mechanism, which reduces the wear and tear of pivotal components in the motor.
