The MKE118B-058-PP1-KUN electric motor is a maintenance-free synchronous motor designed by the Rexroth Indramat, for application at adverse and potentially explosive areas, with a housing frame designed according to the American UL standard. Its hardy compact appearance gives it characteristic resistance to dust ingression and water ingression. It can be used in industrial applications for machine tools, paper printing and processing machines, metal forming and cutting machines, and so on.

The MKE118B-058-PP1-KUN servo motor generates high frequency continuous start-stop movements of high velocity, up to 4,500 radii per minute, and an output continuous standstill torque of 28.0 newton-meter. When supplied with a voltage constant of 70 volts, at 20 degrees Celsius, it provides a highly precise movement due to a holding brake of 32 newton-meter. Its holding brake serves to hold the axis in place when there is a power outage or when voltage fails. The MKE118B-058-PP1-KUN has a temperature control mechanism, which gives it a high overload capability, owing to the favorable heat dissipation from the stator windings to the outside wall of the motor housing. It has a cylindrical output shaft with a complete fitting key and a shaft sealing ring that prevents leakages from the internal environment to the external environment.

The MKE118B-058-PP1-KUN servo motor is a highly reliable rotary motor with bearings that are supplied with grease lubricant for a lifetime of 30,000 hours of operational lifetime. A compatibility test should be run for any new lubricating product to be introduced into the motor. Connection to a high voltage greater than the rated voltage should be avoided to prevent electric shock and deflection of current that can lead to breakage of the output shaft.
