The MKE116D-027-PP0-KN is a Bosch Rexroth synchronous motor. The shaft on the motor has a keyway as per DIN 6885-1. The purpose of the keyway it to prevent the shaft from rotating on the bore. The keyway also assists in torque transmission between two connected shafts. The shaft is fitted with a shaft sealing ring. The seals work by compressing the shaft on which it is installed and prevents leaks and the entry of external contaminants. Integrated features that are available on the MKE116D-027-PP0-KN include an optical encoder and a terminal box for the motor electrical connection. This terminal box is situated on the top of the motor. Integrated holding brake is not provided on the MKE116D-027-PP0-KN motor. An optional holding brake can be ordered if required.
