The Bosch Rexroth MKE037B-144-CP0-LUNN is a MKE series synchronous servo motor. MKE servo motors fulfil specifications according to ATEX and UL/CSA in one class. This allows the motors to be used worldwide with one machine design. MKE motors are available with up to 40 Nm torque ratings and 3000 to 9000 RPM speed ratings. MKE motors are designed according to EN 60079-31, EN 60079-1 and EN 60079-0. The brushless design and use of bearings that are grease lubricated for the operational lifetime makes them maintenance-free. The completely closed motor design with IP 65 rating enables their use in harsh environmental conditions. Motor-temperature control provides overload protection. The favorable ratio of torque to inertia mass leads to high dynamics. Use of electrical commutation enables continuous start-stop operation. The MKE motors can be installed in any desired positon.

The MKE037B-144-CP0-LUNN servo motor has a housing which complies with the UL standard. Terminal box for the electrical connection is on the left side of the motor. The shaft on the MKE037B-144-CP0-LUNN includes a keyway and a sealing ring for providing protection against external contaminants such as dust and moisture. Holding brake is not available on the MKE037B-144-CP0-LUNN but can be ordered from Bosch if required. Feedback is provided form a 128-increment multiturn optical encoder which supports the Hiperface protocol. Resolution of the encoder is 12 bits, the current consumption is 60 Amps and the input voltage range is 7 to 12 Volts DC. Weight of the MKE037B-144-CP0-LUNN is approximately 2.5 kilograms.
