The MKE037B-144-CP0-BE0N is a Bosch Rexroth MKE series synchronous motor. When used with Rexroth drives, the MKE series motors provide drive systems with high functionality ideally suited for applications involving hazardous areas. Its housing design is as per the ATEX standard. The ATEX directives are two EU directives which describe the minimum safety requirements for equipment used in explosive atmospheres. The electrical connection for the MKE037B-144-CP0-BE0N motor is a terminal box located on side B. For the viewer facing the motor in front of the motor shaft, side B is the side facing the back of the motor. There is no holding brake on the motor. However one can be ordered if required. The motor features a multiturn absolute optical encoder (Hiperface) with 128 increments. The main motor shaft features a keyway and sealing ring.
