The MKE037B-144-AG1-BENN is a new generation industrial motor produced by Rexroth Indramat. This motor is a permanent magnet motor with a compact brushless design. The housing of this motor meets the IP65 protection class, thus the motor can operate fairly smoothly in industrial conditions that might be considered unfavorable for conventional industrial electrical motors. The MKE037B-144-AG1-BENN features special ball bearings which are integrated at the motor’s shaft, these bearings help to prevent frictional wear in the motor. The motor also contains an electrically released holding brake which helps to retain the load connected to the motor’s shaft during an emergency stop. The housing design of the motor is according to the ATEX standard.

The MKE037B-144-AG1-BENN motor can be ordered in two different designs; the E design and the U design, these designs meet the European and the American quality standard respectively. All additional accessories and connections used with this controller must meet the quality standard stated by Rexroth Indramat In the motor’s documentation. The flange of this motor allows operators to easily install the motor according to EN 60034-7:1993. This moor should not be operated in an industrial environment with a high concentration of sulfurous gases as this can cause the housing unit of the motor to deteriorate quickly.

The MKE037B-144-AG1-BENN motor weighs about 2.5 kilograms, it is coated with black paint which is resistant against dilute acids, and current mineral salts. The encoder of this motor is a Single turn Hiperface encoder, the encoder connects to the motor feedback cable through which it sends the operational information of the motor to the controller in real-time. The encoder also possesses a data memory where important information such as the type name, the control loop parameters, and the motor parameters are stored.
