The MKD112B-058-GG0-BN is easily the fastest motor of all the AC synchronous motors manufactured by Rexroth Bosch Indramat, MKD112B-058-GGO-BN motors also have excellent durability and accuracy with a frame size of 112, a motor length of class B, and a mass of 34 kg. The flange size measures at 192 mm, with a centering diameter of 130 mm. With a maximum speed capacity of 4500min-1, the motor can still clock 3000min-1 continuously during nominal operations. It can produce a continuous standstill torque of 28 Nm and a rated torque of 6.2 Nm; it falls in the category of the heavy torque producers, with a maximum torque capacity of 102Nm. To achieve this maximum torque, the motor can allow currents of up to 183A, which is only permissible for a brief period to avoid overheating and damage to the motor.

In cases of heating, according to its thermal time constant of 40 mins, the motor dissipates heat via natural convection to the ambient air. Its rotor moment of inertia of 1.92×10-2 kgm2 allows it to operate loads and peripherals with a moment of inertia up to 0.192 kgm2. The motor is equipped with a resolver feedback encoder, which communicates the relative position of the motor to an interfaced drive controller. It is fitted with a plain shaft with shaft sealing rings, but without a holding brake. It accepts power cable and encoder output connection via its electrical plugs, and these are top mounted to the B-side of the motor. The motor housing is designed under the IP65 protection category, making it dust-proof and shock resistant.
