Product Description
The MKD-type AC servo-motor series by Rexroth Bosch Indramat is designed for high reliability, great dynamics, and impressive performance. Even amidst this group of highly functional and versatile motors, the MKD041B-144-KP1-KN is a choice model.
It has a motor size of the 041 category, which makes it part of the second smallest MKD-type motors, with a flange size and a centering diameter of 82mm and 50mm respectively. It can generate a continuous standstill torque of up to 2.7Nm and has a rated torque of 1.4Nm. The rated speed is set at 3000 min-1, however, it can clock up to a maximum speed of 7500 min-1. Also, the rotor inertia is 1.7×10-4 Kgm2, which allows it to support a total load inertia (i.e. all rotating parts attached to the motor) of up to 1.7×10-3Kgm2; this meets the 10:1 maximum inertia ratio specified by most motor sizing guidelines.
To ensure accuracy in positional feedback, and consequently improve the overall closed loop control via the drive controller, the motor uses a resolver feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. It features a standard housing design, with a terminal box (output for power and encoder cables) fitted to the ‘B-side’ or back of the motor. The shaft is designed with keyway according to DIN 6885-1, and it comes with a holding brake. The holding brake can produce a holding torque of 2.2Nm and has a mass of 0.23kg. This brings the motor mass to a total of 4.63kg (plus holding brake). As can be inferred, the MKD041B-144-KP1-KN is efficient at low-speed, high torque operations, for which it is optimized. In general, it is versatile and built to last.
