Combining Bosch Rexroth’s MAD motors with the Rexroth IndraDrive controllers produces intelligent drive solutions suitable for several applications. They are asynchronous motors in the IndraDyn A family used as rotary main and servo drive motors. Their applications include metal-forming machines and machine tools.

The MAD160B-0100-SA-S2-RF0-35-N4 is a MAD motor model with a maximum speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute. It generates a maximum torque of 520.0Nm and accommodates a maximum current of 110.0A. This motor is equipped with an integrated single-turn absolute encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface. Its cooling mechanism involves surface cooling, where air baffles guide air currents over its surface. A mounted axial fan generates these air currents, and it uses clean air from the environment to reduce the risk of contamination. The output shaft in this MAD model is the plain type with a labyrinth seal. This shaft ensures the motor’s smooth running and provides a non-positive, non-floating shaft-hub connection. Its labyrinth seal protects it from fluid splashes.
