Bosch Rexroth’s MAD motors are compact induction motors with squirrel-cage rotors in its IndraDyn A family. They are notable for their high continuous ratings and easy-to-service structure, giving them low maintenance requirements.

The MAD130B-0200-SA-S2-GP0-05-N1 is an asynchronous motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MAD series. Its single-turn encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface evaluates its position with impressive precision. This encoder has a data memory where important parameters are stored to aid the motor’s quick and easy startup. Like other motors in the series, this MAD model has two sensitive PTC thermal sensors that monitor its temperature and prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload. It also has a mounted axial fan that generates cooling currents, which travel along its surface, guided by air baffles. The motor has two pole pairs and generates a maximum torque of 187.2Nm. Its rated speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, while its maximum speed is 7,500 revolutions per minute.

A black varnish covers the exterior of the MAD130B-0200-SA-S2-GP0-05-N1, protecting it from diluted acids, lyes, water, sewage, and current mineral oils. Its output shaft with keyway meets the demands of DIN 6885-1 and ensures the form-locking transmission of torques with constant direction and low requirements for the shaft-hub connection. This shaft comes with a sealing ring designed per DIN 3760 - Design A to prevent fluids from penetrating the motor. The MAD motor features standard-type bearings well-suited for absorbing low to medium radial and axial forces. They accommodate high rotational speeds and ensure the motor’s low-noise operation. Since its design meets the IP 65 protection class according to IEC 60529, this motor can be operated risk-free under harsh environmental conditions.
