Product Description

The KMS02.1B-A018-P-D7-ET-NNN-L3-TO-FW is powered by a 42V controlled from a 24V control-power transformer or a power supply unit with PELV protection. Bosch Rexroth manufactures the KMS servo motor with high side switches hence, only the terminal outputs of the servo motor can actively supply current. The energy intake capacity at the output terminals is used to limit peak voltages that occur when inductive loads are switched off. Voltage limiting is performed by using free-wheeling diodes directly at the relay coil. The servo motor is designed for flange mounting. It has a standard design that delivers a friction-free shaft hub connection with excellent running smoothness when mounting. Use clamping sleeves or clamping elements to couple the machine elements to be motor. The spindle motor has an IP65 protection class according to IEC 60529 and should be operated at ambient temperature with nominal data ranging from °C 0...40.

The KMS02.1B-A018-P-D7-ET-NNN-L3-TO-FW can be connected to a higher-level control unit or remote communication nodes through the KCU motor connection box or readymade RKB0021 Long cables (100 m at maximum). The KCU motor connection box transmits the DC bus voltage of the supply unit to the motor via a hybrid cable. It fulfills the following functions: Transmitting the communication signals from the spindle to the motorline. Exchanging status signals between the motor and supply unit. And displaying the status signals of the motorline for diagnostic purposes. Additionally, it acts as an axis with higher capacitance against the ground.

The KCU motor connection box needs a 24V supply for operation and to generate the required 42V control voltage for the KMS motor in the driveline. HCS01.1E-W0054 motor controllers can also be used to supply power to the KMS servo motor. In this case, the KCU motor connection box is not required. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
