The KDS 1.3-200-300-W1 is a high-performance servo drive from Bosch Rexroth. The drive uses cold-running technology and is meant to be used with MAC motors (MAC 90 to MAC 160). The device has a built-in external heat exchanger to prevent heat loss in the control cabinet. The unit should be mounted within a control cabinet. Its mounting orientation is vertical. The device was created to be used for industrial applications that demand high speed and position control. The product comes with a heat sink attached to the heat exchanger. The heat sink is on the rear side of the drive. The KDS servo drive has a current rating of 200 A and a voltage rating of 300 V DC. The temperature range in which the device can be stored is between -25°C and +55°C. The ambient transport temperature of the unit is -25°C to 70°C. After the power supply module of the machine generates the DC link circuit voltage from the AC input voltage, the servo drive generates a 3-phase system. The three-phase system generated is controlled according to the frequency, amplitude, and phase. This is then applied to the MAC servo motor in accordance with the desired speed and current rotor position. It is also possible to operate the drive as a torque-controlled drive. It should be noted that a malfunction in the device cannot be eliminated in an emergency stop situation. Hence, it is mandatory to isolate the drive’s power section from the mains supply through the mains contactor to stop the drive safely. This can be done by opening the emergency stop circuit. The drive module can be arranged on the left side.
