The KDS servo drive modules belong to the ANAX drives category made by Indramat Rexroth. The hi-tech engineering company has successfully maintained its reputation to deliver user-centric solutions with respect to machine automation. The part number KDS 1.1-050-300-W1 is a servo drive module meant for controlling the torque, speed, and position of the MAC servo motors. Although TDM servo amplifiers are also present in the list of ANAX servo drives, KDS servo amplifiers stand out because of their efficiency.

The KDS 1.1-050-300-W1 servo amplifier runs on a 300Vdc power supply. It offers 35 amperes of continuous current with a maximum current capacity of 50 amperes. The Indramat servo drive module is capable of generating a continuous power of 15 kW, and this is where it’s more efficient than the TDM counterparts. The servo amplifier experiences a power loss of just 150 watts, which is approximately 1%. Moreover, the entire power loss takes place externally, without causing any harm to the internal components. To maximize safety, there is a forced cooling unit.   
The KDS 1.1-050-300-W1 servo drive module has a net weight of 14.1 kilograms, while the LE4 fan unit weighs 4.2 kilograms. The servo drive module features green and red LEDs for diagnosis. Each of the LEDs either flash, continuously light, or turn off to indicate the rotor position, tacho status, power, and other functions. The signals are valid as long as the 24V LED shows the green light.
