The cost-efficient Rexroth IndraDrive drive system is a smart combination of multiple drive and motion control components designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Some of these components include servo motors and gearboxes, power units, and control units, and they work together to provide automation solutions. The single-axis control sections in the CSB02 series are components of the drive system whose applications include machine tools, handling, and mounting systems, food processing and packaging machines, and printing and paper processing machines.

The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-NN-S4-NN-NN-NW is a control section with extended scope interface equipment in the CSB02 series. The single-axis device uses Multi-Ethernet for communicating with higher-level control systems; hence its drive controller can be integrated into Ethernet field bus systems including sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO. It also features a standard encoder evaluation interface that supports the connection of encoder systems with supply voltage values of 5V and 12V. Such encoders are the MSK and MSM motor encoders, the 5V-TTL square wave encoder with a reference track, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 interface.

 The maximum inrush current of the CSB02.1B-ET-EC-NN-S4-NN-NN-NW is 5 A, and its maximum pulse width value is 1ms. With its Safe Motion safety module, the control section can be operated safely, and varying outputs can be obtained when used at a range of switching frequencies. Based on the IEC 61800-3 standard, this control section belongs to category C3 and is only suitable for industrial areas. When used in residential areas, mains filters must be adopted.
