In automated assembly lines, packaging cells, or material-handling stations, it issues precise speed and position commands while exchanging real-time data with supervisory PLCs. This arrangement lets the controller manage motion and communication in the same device, which helps simplify integration in space-limited cabinets.
Its motion section is built around a 1-axis architecture, so all resources concentrate on a single motor channel. For discrete input monitoring, the device provides 11 digital inputs that accept sensor or limit-switch states at controller logic levels. Two analog outputs share a bipolar range of ±10 V, allowing proportional control signals or reference values to be transmitted to connected equipment. Real-time command and diagnostic traffic move over the Multi-Ethernet port, which auto-negotiates protocols such as EtherNet/IP or PROFINET without added hardware. The motor feedback lead terminates on a D-Sub 15-Pin Female connector that mates directly with Rexroth encoder cables.
