The Beckhoff KL1512 Bus Terminal is a compact 2 channel up/down counter for industrial automation. It is designed for counting tasks with up to 1 kHz frequency. It conforms to EN 61131-2 standards with defined “0” and “1” input signal voltages. A “0” signal is between -3 to +5 V while a “1” signal ranges from 15 to 30 V. The device uses a typical input current of 5 mA and draws about 50 mA from the K-bus. The power contacts only supply the load and are not used by the terminal itself.
