The C6015-0010 is a compact industrial PC manufactured by Beckhoff in the C6 Industrial PC Units series. It is intended to mount inside control cabinets or directly onto machinery where it executes PLC logic, motion control, and visualization tasks that coordinate drives, sensors, and field devices. By running real-time operating systems and TwinCAT software on its x86 platform, the computer replaces separate controllers and connects natively to EtherCAT so that deterministic cycle timing is maintained across an entire machine or production cell.
The controller operates from a nominal supply of 24 VDC, a value compatible with standard control-panel power rails, and it draws up to 8 A through its plug connector. Internal timing for distributed I/O is governed by an EtherCAT cycle time of ≤ 1 ms, allowing synchronized updates for high-speed motion axes. Two Intel i210 network interfaces support line or ring topologies; each port transmits user data at 1000 Mbit/s over cables as long as 100 m, so no additional switches are needed near the machine. The enclosure depth is only 40 mm, which lets the PC fit on shallow DIN rails without obstructing airflow or wiring ducts. Application data and operating systems reside on a M.2 SSD, eliminating rotating media and reducing start-up times. Security keys are stored in the integrated fTPM 2.0 module so encrypted boot and credential management can be enforced without external hardware. The electronics tolerate ambient air humidity up to 95 %, making the device suitable for humid production zones when mounted in a ventilated cabinet. A USB 2.0 port and a USB 3.0 port provide peripheral expansion at 500 mA each, and the square 82 mm × 82 mm footprint matches the height of standard I/O terminals to simplify panel layout.
