Product Description

VAC-III drives are MATE N’ LOCK technology to 9, 16, and 10 pin motor connections. VAC-III drives are among the biggest and best drives offered by Okuma for drive control technology. These drives are equipped with a sophisticated LED status operation system, letting the user know the staus of the drive at all times. For example, a Green light is a common indicator of power, while the loss of a green light is common for power loss. Other LED indicators found on the drive help distinguish circulation issues such as a Red CPUALM signal.

VAC-III drives require a significant amount of power to be turned on and maintain necessary motor operating speeds. This means Okuma engineers needed to ensure these drives would be safe for long usage period. Okuma developed an extensive safety failure system, combining both VAC-III drives and the NC units connected to the drives. These failures range from communication issues, circuit alarms, surge alerts, start alarms, PBU file read alarms, and many more.

Allowable power supply ranges for VAC-III drives are 170V AC to 242V AC and 50/60Hz. The incoming supply voltage must fall to within + or – 10% of the range listed above for safe use of the drive. Like many other Okuma drives, VAC-III drives require PCB control boards and other drive specific command interfaces which have tendencies to break or burn when power surges happen. However, Wakeindustrial has all of these parts available to be installed in your machine at a moments notice.
