Product Description

The VAC D22-A is an Okuma manufactured AC Servo spindle drive unit. It is part of the VAC drive units in the VACII VAC2 series. The spindle drive unit controller has been made for integration with 22/15kW Spindle motors with a type of VAC-MM22/15 for CNC Machine tool. The VAC D22-A comes with complete features including a control board and a power unit. The AC Spindle drive unit comes with a 1-year warranty to assure that your CNC machine tools have peak performance and maintenance.

The normal operation mode or the control mode includes spindle control mode, C-axis control mode, and C-axis or spindle switching mode. In each mode, the control status is displayed on the seven-section LED display on the left. A winding status and winding changeover command are displayed by the seven-section LED displays on a winding changeover type. The standard type remains unlit. You can only find this display function with firmware VAC4113 or later versions. In the error status mode, the seven-section LED displays on the left indicate "AL," which stands for an alarm. The right one indicates the alarm number.

It is very worthwhile to note the following troubleshooting tips for the VAC4113.  You should not touch the high-voltage portions since they are dangerous. Before you inspect or repair the power units, you should first record the codes shown on the seven-section LED display. After this, you should switch the power off and ensure that the DC CHARGE LED is switched off before inspection or repair of the power unit. The indication method of the failure contents varies dependent on the ROM version. Versions MVAC105D, MLPC4B, MVAC201C, MVA300A and after use current method. Versions MVAC102, MVAC104C, MVAC104D, MVAC105A, MVAC105B, MVAC105C, MLPC4A, MVAC201, and MVAC201B use only conventional method.
